I try to live like it's Earth Day every day. As a consumer, I think about the impact of my dollar. And as a maker, I am constantly looking for ways to incorporate sustainable and locally sourced materials into my work. There are days I feel very convicted, and there are days I wish I felt more convicted. What does it mean to be a good steward of the earth? Should I be weaving my own clothes and growing all my food? I think this is an extreme, but I do think about it! At the least, we need to continue to inform ourselves on how things are made. And support the artisans, farmers, and shopowners who are passionate about what they do.
